I'm listening!

I'm listening, but not hearing any voices! Being a teacher, this is a very strange occurrence for me, and it's kind of freaking me out a bit. So all you regular visitors (and non-regular visitors), please speak up and leave a comment! I want to know what you think of what I'm posting. What do you want more of? Less of? Questions you have?

I have tons of stuff to post, but sometimes I'm not sure what to post. Tell me what you want! When no one ever comments, it's hard to tell my audience. Do you have questions for me? I get a lot of in person questions about my views on homeschooling, being a homeschooler, and now a future teacher, do you all have the same questions? I had someone ask me in an email if I had homeschooling through high school suggestions or ideas, is that something you all want too? Do you like the printable stuff, or would you prefer methods ideas. Should I blab more about my college experiences and teaching experiences?

Tell me will you!

I feel kind of weird bribing you all, but I really want to get to know my readers. So we're going to call this your motivation.

Starting today, and ending on Friday, December 18th, I'll be giving away a "prize" to one commenter*. All you have to do is comment to be entered, and the more times you comment, the more times you will be entered.

Here is a run down of how you can enter and a couple rules and regulations:
  1. Only one comment per post, and the comment must contain substance, or it will not count. Examples: "Great post!" Bad comment! "Great post, I really liked the ideas you gave on teaching long division. Those will be very helpful." Good comment! Got it?
  2. If you are a follower, or become one, you may leave ONE comment on any post telling me so.
  3. Leaving a comment on a post as far as two months back counts, so if you would like to earn an extra entry or two, this is a good way to do so. But again, needs to have some substance to count.
  4. Ask a question or suggest something you would like me to address, and get two entries for that one comment.
  5. Comments on this post only count if you tell me something about yourself pertaining to education (i.e. I teach 5th grade, I homeschool ages 4, 7, 10, etc.). Something that helps me know who my audience is and what you want as readers.
Does that sound good?

*The prize has now been determined and will a copy of the resource book Shoe Box Math Learning Centers, sent directly from Amazon to your doorstep! This is a must have resource book for anyone who works with the primary grades, I believe!

So leave one will ya! But please, use your indoor voices!

I teach primary special ed.

My sister-in-law, who is a 1st grade teacher, is going to begin on Nov. 30, homeschooling her son, (my nephew), who is a 9th grader, together, with her husband. (my brother) (She will continue to teach and my brother is a full time pastor, with one week day off.)

I like comments, too.
I am a follower of your blog.

Morgan, keep the great posts coming. Because I am a homeschooling mother, I am especially interested in anything you can pass on to us, especially multi-age things, printables, organizational things from a teacher's perspective, etc. etc. I know you're busy, and you want to know how to target your readers, but if you put it out there, someone is going to benefit. In addition, it serves as a great Chronicle to your journey as a teacher, and an e-file to your catalog of ideas, all of which have been so helpful to myself and to others I've passed your link on to. Blessings, and keep up the good work.
