Oh the mess I have made...

... in my dining room!

Since I don't know where I'll be teaching next year when school was out, so was all my stuff. Because the room I was in wasn't officially mine, I only brought in bits and pieces of my stuff. However, I also inherited a lot of things too from one teacher who was retiring and some other teachers who were making major grade level changes.

When it came time to pack up I realized my stuff had somehow multiplied and I had a lot to bring home! It all landed in my dining room and I'm procrastinating now because my bins in the basement with all my teaching stuff are/were already a mess from me digging through them all year to find the random items I wanted to take to school. I really don't feel like organizing and putting this all away, only to dig it back out again. But alas... I probably should.

I don't know WHAT I would do if I had to empty my classroom for the summer! Like you, I don't know where all of my stuff comes from, but it sure has MULTIPLIED in the past 2 years!! The summer before I started teaching, I was constantly buying things for my classroom, and by the time August came, it had taken over an entire room in my parents' house! Let's just say they were as excited as I was when I finally got to start setting up my classroom... :)

I feel your pain! I had to move out of my room this year because I got a new job at another school. So, it took me 4 FULL load in my husband's SUV and I still had to give some stuff away because it wouldn't fit in the last load and I wasn't going back. It's now all sitting in my garage taking up way too much space until I can move it to my new school. Good luck!
I ended up just cramming stuff in boxes and my stuff is not at all organized either.

I don't have to empty my classroom, but I still feel like I bring home waaaaay too much stuff over the summer. It seems silly to take it home just to bring it back, but I work on it over the summer. Good luck!
